What a thrill it was to assist in rebuilding peoples lives along the gulf coast of Mississippi. Our work is finished but theirs continues even today. As of this writing, Spring of 08 Jay West and his church family continue to deal with the emotional and physical destruction all around them. To us it's 'over' but not if you live there! We still make trips to help in anyway we can. You can find out how to help by visiting www.yourfamilyplace.homestead.com
(Pic 1) A woman who lost everything. We tried to help her find even the smallest item, but almost nothing was found. We tried to counsel her saying, "at least you have your life." she responded, "No, this home was my life". How sad it is to lose perspective as to what is important. (Pic 2, 3) Looting is a big problem. As you walk the streets and talk to people you wonder why someone would steal all that is left of someone's elses hopes and dreams? (Pic 4) is a hotel, the force of the water blew the van 35 feet into the lobby.
(Pic 1) First Baptist Church in Bilox,i MS. - a historical church destroyed. (Pic 2) First Assembly of God in Waveland Ms, - over 5 feet of water in it's entire facility. (Pic 3) Jim doing stand up comedy (while seated - a difficult task for even intelligent people) at Knollwood Church in Mobile, AL. One woman commented "I haven't laughed this hard since the hurricane, I loved it" . Audio clips of Jim's comedy is available on our media page. (Pic 4) Gulf Coast Worship Ctr. Longbeach, MS - their parking lot - over 56,000 cars have passed through for food and supplies.
(Pic 1) The medical center at Gulf Coast Worship Ctr, this state of the art portable center was donated by a west German Company. (Pic 2) Several of our doctors: Dorothy (on left) is the organizer and works with www.imaonline.org She brought over 70 doctors to this location. Now that we have plugged her web site, she can be happy! They treated over 5000 people since the hurricane. (Pic 3) The pharmacyformerly a Sunday school room, now has over 3 million dollars in prescription drugs medical supplies. (Pic 4) The operating room of our facility.

This is a historical web page of GTM Inc active involvement in hurricane relief in and around the gulf coast of Mississippi. We will never forget, this event. If you think we were a huge part of the rebuilding process ..well your wrong. We just did what was in front of us to do, raising funds helping pastors, supplying church with volunteers and ......quite frankly getting out of the way! We firmly believe.. "The Vision Doesn't Have To Be Big, It Just Has To Be Yours!" Hooah! If you haven't watched "I had to do something" you NEED TO! It's awesome on site video of volunteers and how their lives have been impacted by this overwhelming need. Diamond Head Dave - is one of the FUNNIEST things to ever be video'd. It's a hilarious encounter with a stranger on the gulf. It will give you the best laugh.
